Dr. Dubrow Refutes Glanville’s Parasite Claim, Offers Assistance.

Dr. Terry Dubrow, renowned plastic surgeon and star of the reality show Botched, expressed serious concerns regarding the ongoing health issues affecting Brandi Glanville, a former cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Glanville has been publicly documenting her struggles with facial deformities, sharing images of swelling and irregular skin texture. While Glanville has attributed her condition to possible "face parasites," Dubrow dismisses this theory, emphasizing the need for a proper medical diagnosis to identify the underlying cause. He believes the issue likely stems from a microorganism that entered her bloodstream, not parasites or ingested substances.

Dubrow’s primary concern is the potential for the undiagnosed condition to worsen if left untreated. He described Glanville as a "ticking time bomb," warning that the longer the microorganism remains in her skin, the greater the risk of further damage, including scarring and the formation of nodules. He stressed the urgency of a surgical intervention to obtain a tissue sample for analysis, enabling doctors to pinpoint the exact nature of the problem and develop an effective treatment plan. Dubrow publicly offered Glanville the expertise of the Botched medical team should she require assistance in obtaining a diagnosis or treatment.

Glanville, on her part, has been actively seeking medical advice, undergoing numerous tests and consultations at considerable expense. She revealed having invested around $70,000 in various tests, including extensive lab work, in an attempt to understand the cause of her facial issues. While one doctor suggested the possibility of a parasite, other medical professionals initially suspected that the problem was related to dissolving old facial fillers. However, Glanville clarified that she hadn’t received fillers recently, ruling out that possibility. She also initially suspected food poisoning contracted during filming in Morocco, but this theory seems less likely now.

Glanville’s description of her symptoms further underscores the unusual nature of her condition. She reported experiencing significant swelling and temporary loss of speech. She claims to have a general awareness of the parasite’s location beneath her skin, describing a sensation of movement and observing "tiny bubbles bursting" on her skin when she touches the affected area. In addition to the facial deformities, Glanville revealed that the alleged parasite produces a significant amount of fluid that her lymph nodes are struggling to drain, further complicating the issue.

Dubrow’s assessment highlights the importance of a proper medical diagnosis in addressing Glanville’s health concerns. His skepticism about the "face parasite" theory underscores the need for thorough medical investigation to identify the true underlying cause. The possibility of a blood-borne microorganism causing the facial deformities presents a more plausible explanation, demanding immediate medical attention to prevent further complications.

The contrasting perspectives of Glanville, who believes she has a parasite, and Dubrow, who suspects a microorganism, emphasize the crucial role of medical expertise in diagnosing and treating complex medical issues. While Glanville’s extensive efforts to seek medical help are commendable, Dubrow’s intervention highlights the potential for misdiagnosis and the importance of seeking specialized expertise, especially in cases involving unusual symptoms. The situation underscores the need for a comprehensive medical evaluation to arrive at an accurate diagnosis and prevent potentially irreversible damage.
