Prominent Figures Respond to Hoda Kotb’s Departure from the “Today” Show

Hoda Kotb, a beloved figure on NBC’s Today show, announced her departure in September 2024, surprising viewers and prompting an outpouring of support from celebrities and fans alike. Kotb’s career with NBC began in 1998 as a correspondent for Dateline. Her journey with Today started in 2008 as Kathie Lee Gifford’s co-host for the fourth hour. A decade later, she stepped into the role of co-anchor alongside Savannah Guthrie, following Matt Lauer’s exit. Most recently, she has been co-hosting the fourth hour with Jenna Bush Hager.
