The Anker Innovations company recalled over 1.1 million power banks, specifically targeting the model number “A1263” and certain serial numbers, starting from June 2016 and continuing through December 2022. The issue within these appliances was believed to potentially exceed its lithium-ion battery capacity, potentially causing melting of plastic components, producing smoke, and posing a fire hazard. The recall was timely processed, with company officials stating its precautionary measures to ensure customer safety. The此次 recall was identified by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Upon receiving the recall notice, consumers were urged to discontinue usage immediately, noting that some power banks might still function normally. However, there was a noted risk of overheating, leading to fire and safety hazards. The CPSC provided details of 19 incidents, with 11 resulting in property damage exceeding $60,700, necessitating minor burns but without requiring medical attention. teeth reflexes inserted, this was due to power bank malfunction and human negligence. The CPSC also emphasized the importance of individuals taking proactive steps to prevent further harm.

Consumers were directed to a designated webpage on Anker’s official website to report the recall and obtain a replacement. It was emphasized that non- derivations must be disposed of at a certified facility that accepts recalled lithium batteries, as they cannot be thrown into the trash or recycled. They also must register their devices with municipal hazardous waste collection centers to have proper disposal options in place.

Purchasers offered flexibility, but customers were encouraged to allow their units to melt into replacement products. Additionally, if replacements are on back order, they were allowed to pick up a $30 gift card instead. Disposal of the power banks must adhere to local regulations, with providers required to dispose of their products at repositories established by the CPSC. This includes managing alcohol-by-contamination and adhering to localfills’ residue guidelines. By following these procedures, individuals ensure that their devices are disposed of responsibly and in compliance with safety standards.
