Amazon starts closing Quebec warehouses as union president calls for boycott

This content discusses the decision by a Canadian-based Amazon warehouse owner union to temporarily cease operations at three warehouses in Quebec, Montreal, and Montréal. The union, led by Mr. Ffinalize of Laval, Quebec, unionized the workforce at this facility last year, and now claims the company has lost essential jobs and is preparing to cut off workers’ benefits. The decision was made after reducing its workforce closing some warehouses before March, but the company remains unavailable for comment.

The union president, Mr. Ffinalize, revealed that the warehouses in Montreal’s Greater Downtown Region closed earlier this week, two days before expectations. Some workers initially claimed to be unable to shadow their shifts, but some arrived late to their scheduled work shifts. The company is reporting the closures as a此次 order, as part of efforts to protest unions outside its facilities last year.

Amazon has not responded to the allegations, and while the company previously dismissed claims linking the layoffs to the workers’ demands, they have so far avoided addressing the full extent of the claims. Critics argue Amazon is overly aggressive in shutting down warehouses and losing thousands of workers, while unions argue it is necessary to address their demands.

The March 1 warehouse that Amazon closed was replaced after some scheduled closures of other warehouses in Montreal and Ankooki (parts of renewed industrial disputes in Canada), and others. The company prefers to focus on vérifying the legitimacy of its labor union rather than addressing its strikes. stakeholders elsewhere took steps to reject Amazon’s request, citing insufficient cooperation and past incidents.

In February, the union president was faced with an official rejection by business group pope and Conféduration des syndicats nationaux ( SSCN), which stated that 2,100 people were laid off so far; this includes both permanent and total layoffs, as a result of discontent with the labor union. Since the claims were not proven legally and Amazon has given no reason, the union is ordering a meeting.

The company has thus far denied Google and according, calling itself a “large timeframe” enterprise. The union’s statement is seen as a move to prevent纪录 strikes and victim of legacy deficit caused by union-relatedtopicsocases.
