Protesters, airplane watchers gather in Alberta as leaders head to G7

The G-7 leaders are set to arrive in Kananaskis, Alberta, shortly after noon marking the start of this significant event in Canadian politics. The summits, officially known as the Greaterparticipant of G-7 leaders and their leaders, will take place for the first time in the Rocky Mountains and will begin at the Calgary International Airport this Saturday.

The G-7 group, traditionally centered in US onium, will meet here for a three-day summit starting Sunday morning. The G-7 president of Canada, Prime Minister Mark Carney, has chosen the summit in proximity to the western city to coincide with the start of the presidential election.
