An opossum with a sweet tooth was hospitalized after itAnnihilated an entire Costco chocolate mousse cake that was left outside on the porch of a Nebraska real estate agent’s home this week. Kim Doggett, a journalist, reported that her son identified the critter curled up on his patio furniture on Sunday, multiple outlets stated.
“She didn’t look so great – she was kind of panting,” wrote Dot freelancer Kim Doggett, who recalls sitting at a wedding party photo op when the ordeal struck. The cake was nearly devoured, with its chocolate-colored paw prints covering a beige couch and the nearly eaten dessert lying near the deck.
“‘I always have a house full and we cook a lot and when you run out of room in the fridge you just sit it on the table outside in the winter,’ Dot welled about leaving the decadent dessert outside.
