I’m lucky to be stepping down from Cup to Xfinity, it’s not a heavy loss.”
Burton, who also mentioned that he had Leonard Wood himself built a tied radio-controlled car, recalled supporting members of Wood Brothers Racing. “They really care about me,” he said, “the music, the atmosphere, everything. When I went back to Cup, I knew the strong support he showed for me would only help me get better close to the series.” After leaving Cup, he found Xfinity Series a different kind of challenge, driving the exact same setups he had for Cup, but switching to the AM Racing AM-R, the series’ fastest class.

Burton recently spoke of how his relationship with Wood Brothers Racing likely continues despite the change in scorer. “I mean they still care about me,” he said, “and stuff they did build back then still count as 75 years. It’s like giving me a new album to listen to, even if it’s just once.” He also admitted that moving through the Cup Series had been “a learning experience” but during his return trip, he expected to feel “less bitter taste in his mouth.” Though the transition presents “biggest weapon of mine and I’ve raced the best drivers in the world for the past three years,” he had been so lucky to have a great relationship with “everyone at the Wood Brothers that there was no bad feeling. They truly care about me.”
As Harrison crossed over to the Xfinity Series, his numerous friends had sent him birthday cards and surprise notes, but that time moved forward. “It was really to me about self-reflection and what I can do to be better,” he said. “And I feel, I’m doing those things to be better and it’s starting to show in the AM Racing team.”
Burton explained that what really stayed with him was fighting for about a plan and a spark. Even in his struggle, he holds to the Wh政治 stance, “it was really to me about self-reflection and what I can do to be better,” he said. “I mean, it’s not moving up quickly, but to recover and take that forward.” When asked about his career goals, he added, “Well, what I started out with in Cup, it feels like the foundation. So much more is coming in the future. I’ve learned a lot. It’s going to be… hard, but gives me peace of mind to move forward.”
