Recall of Queso Products Issued in Two States Due to Potential Life-Threatening Risk

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a consumer warning regarding a specific batch of Jose Madrid Salsa’s “Chipotle Con Queso Salsa,” sold in 13-ounce jars, due to undeclared allergens. The salsa, distributed at select holiday markets in New York and North Carolina in November 2024, contains Yellow 5 and Yellow 6 food dyes, which were omitted from the product label.
